What Do We Do?

Mike Preston Consultancy offers training and consulting services to charities, aiming to help them achieve your mission and maximize impact within a satisfactory governance framework. 

With over 20 years of experience in the charity sector as a volunteer, trustee, and staff member. I have a deep understanding of the needs and challenges faced by charities. I specialises in governance and strategy, providing bespoke training solutions, workshops, and interventions to help organisations solve their problems. 

I am committed to building a strong relationship with each organization he works with, aiming to develop a deep understanding of their challenges and explore ways to overcome them. 

  • We work in two different ways, in order to support your organisation:- 

    We work with you as an advisor, sharing with you the best practice we have learnt from the sector, and thinking of unique ways of improving your organisation.  

    We also work as a facilitator, in order to help you draw out opinions and feedback from staff across your organisation, challenge your policies and processes, and then use this to help you draw up your own action plan.  

    In both cases, we aim to work as a ‘Critical Friend’, providing you with the insight, research and knowledge you need in order to move your organisation forward.

    We work in partnership with you, and are dynamic and responsive to your needs. We start from where you are and aim to help you to achieve your organisation’s goals and ambitions.

  • We design interactive workshops that will provide knowledge, learning skills, and a safe place to practice these skills. All courses come with a range of post activity resources, as well as a recorded copy of the webinar. We are also in the process of creating e-learning pages to support all of our interactive webinars.

  • Mike Preston Consultancy designs and delivers tailored training programs that empower charities to enhance their skills, knowledge, and overall effectiveness, ensuring they can achieve their missions and make a greater impact.

  • Mike Preston Consultancy's resource hub provides charities with a centralized collection of valuable tools and information to support their development and enhance their impact.
